Whistling

Was on a nice walk this afternoon. A chap came past me whistling. I just dislike men whistling , don"t know why but I do .

Re: Whistling

You rarely hear men whistling these days. I cannot whistle. My partner's grandson tries to whistle and takes it so seriously . No, can't say Im a fan either, and I certainly have not had a wolf whistle for years! I live in hope........

Re: Whistling

Maybe it's because very few folks have anything to whistle about nowadays, there's nothing but misery everywhere, roll on Summer.
I used to be able to whistle any tune, classical, pop, ballads, a regular Roger Whittaker was I, but I very seldom whistle now, all out of puff, except whistling to call the dog in.

Re: Whistling

Jem, don"t you be starting about Roger Whittaker, himself thinks he is the the best thing since sliced bread. I obviously had my work cut out to persuade him otherwise . Think I am on a winning streak now. Actually a bit like Cheltenham last week , didn't Willie Mullins do good , bet your eyes were out on stalks, mine certainly were . Wey-Hey.

Re: Whistling

I like to hear a man whistling as he works - it is a cheery sound.

The PC brigade and/or the women's libbers have tried to ban 'wolf whistles' though - they take the fun out of everything!
