Pluses and minuses.

I can stay up late, get up late...........well, not so much. My black and white alarm clock smacks the bed if he wants me to get up and take him out.

We own our house and car. But I can't drive because of cataracts.

We get to keep the grand kids - and give them back before they drive you insane.

I still do some consultancy in my field but it can almost all be done remotely.

I think if we were really old we wouldn’t have the inclination or the capacity to answer this question.
So l think, we aren’t as old as we think we are!

I love waking up not knowing or caring what day it is.
I love seeing my pension go into my bank account each week
I love listening to people scraping their cars on icy mornings while I'm reading in bed
I love being invisible and behaving badly if i want to ( well silly really not badly)
I love my bus pass

I wish I could say some or all of that but an easy time in my old age isn't going to happen. Life just hasn't turned out that way.

I think I'll have responsibilities and matters that need handling until departure day.

Keeps me on my toes.

Edit: I should just qualify the above by adding that I don't have financial troubles any more. That's a positive anyway.
