If you didn't know, that means if a food item falls on the floor, you can pick it up within 5 seconds & it's ok still.

I do it, sometimes longer than 5 seconds & I haven't died yet.

Only if I can wash whatever it is before using it. Anything else ends up either on the bird table or the compost heap.

I might believe in it however my dogs believe in the 2 second rule if it hits the floor it's theirs

I also would pick something up if it was for me and I could put it under the tap to clean it. Otherwise bin.

I have dropped a full plate of casserole - what a bloomin mess !
Also managed to tip over a jug of gravy - not the same day fortunately, I'd have topped meself !
If you have arthritis in yer fingers, its time to be very careful or get Hubs to see to those things ......

Mine is eggs getting them from box to pan when you shake is a bit of a feat dogs queue ready for me to make my breakfast they know they will get one of them if they are just patient
