I thought I'd share this pic of my new houseplant, a Jacobean lily, that bloomed today.

That is very exotic looking Eileen. Was it difficult to grow?

Couldn't be easier, put the bulb in a pot with good potting soil, water, sit on the windowsill and it blooms. They're as easy as amaryllis. They're also known as Aztec lilies.

Very nice DM . . it's rather like the Glorioso Lily.

That's beautiful, Eileen .....does it produce more than one flower stem?

Unfortunately, no, Mags. I'm not sure if it will rebloom again later in the year or not till next year, we'll see.
