Obviously if companies lie convincingly then bent deals will go through, it happens here too no doubt. But where is the evidence that official EU policy condones and encourages such a practice? It's clearly the opposite as it's against the rules.
The New JLR plant was never going to be built in the EU and no rules were broken

Turkey is not in the EU but it seems that the EIB were not aware of Fords plans to close the Southampton plant but given recent events with Ford closures it may not have survived anyway

The main issue was that the transfer of business from the UK appeared to be facilitated by EU funding. Although it's not that we paid for it as it's a loan.

What has that do to with a loan by the EU bank? You think Ford are going to be a bad debt?

I don't think she understands.

The simple fact is that we pay into the EU a lot more than we get out.

It is clear that the EU benefits from our money whilst we lose it for very little.

The outcome is that the EU can bribe companies to relocate to their countries to their advantage and our disadvantage.

The sooner we stop paying them billions, the sooner we can use that money to OUR advantage.

A loan is not a grant, it has to be paid back. I could understand the point Bread made if it was a grant.

We get a rebate on our contribution

We pay a gross figure of about 350 million a week but get a rebate of about 100 million a week - a net figure of about 13 billion a year.

We don't get any of that back as loan repayments ... it's what we give to the EU.
