Given what has been happening lately, I would imagine it might attract higher viewing figures than normal. On a personal note, I don't tune in but it's hard to avoid snippets in the news.

I remember my Granddad always watched it without fail but he also would stand up whenever he heard the National anthem. Even when he was very ill he managed to get to his feet.

The whole ridiculous "monarchy" is a waste of oxygen including queen "Coffin Dodger" and a HUGE burden on the British tax payers in return for which we get NOTHING. In any case anyone who thinks for a New York Second that the woman actually wrote it herself needs a serious reality check.

In our house at Christmas, in the past, we always had to watch that. Now we don't bother, unless there is nowt else on.

An old tradition in our family was that as soon as The Queen Christmas broadcast began at 3PM, the TV was turned off, and we got stuck into the Xmas dinner.
