Re: New Challenge - Stones, Rocks and Pebbles
I give you my heart …
The Pan Am flight 103 (Lockerbie) memorial, Arlington Cemetery, Virginia USA.
Consisting of 270 blocks of Scottish stone to commemorate the lives of the 259 people killed on the 'plane and 11 on the ground.
The Giant's Causeway.
THE rock of ages, Burrington Combe, after which the hymn is named. The combe is the poor relation to Cheddar Gorge just a few kilometres away, complete with its own squadron of goats.
The reverend Toplady sheltered here in this cleft in the rock during a thunderstorm, and dreamt up the choon and wurds whilst there. He was an eejit. Fifty metres up the hill was/is a cave.
