Thanks, Omah.
My son messaged me last night to say, most fires are under control now but it’s still really smokey. He is using an air purifier to clean the air.

Some of you might be interested in this article about the co ordination required to keep the fire crews fed and rested. It is a big operation.

Crews are rotated with crews from other districts and other states. NSW Brigades operated in Queensland until they returned for last Tuesday's Catastrophic Rating but I beleive they are now being sent back to Queensland. The important thing to remember is that Rural Fire Brigades are all volunteers that give up their free time to train.

They are heros in my book.

Oh yes, you can now laugh at this but it is also quite interesting, especially as it took place in Sydney when a serious fire broke out, a plane was diverted from another big fire in the north and made one drop (as I understand it)

What's it all about I hear you ask. Well BOM has just put up a video explaining what is actually going on.
