I love the challenge of wildlife/action photography so much harder than most other subjects.With wildlife nearly every time you only get one chance and it is gone.With landscape-portrait-building- still life or product photography you have time to set everything up and if its wrong you can do it time and time again. To me there is very little skill in doing that, yes may produce great photos but no one chance only

Water Rail, secretive but in the open fast movers.
Typical view. They have a range of calls often the first sign of their presence, the pig like squeal is the most often heard.

I joined a birdwatching group and yesterday was my first outing with them. The area we were in is an area that I normally walk through without paying much attention but they walked slowly and looked all around, and hey presto the birds were there. It's the first time I'd ever seen a Redwing myself, in fact if I'm truthful I never new anything about them.
