Re: Kind to be cruel

Have a look on the dogsey forum raw feeding threads loads of information. Would love to do it myself as it seems great for dogs I am just too squeamish and can't face it but others have wonderful healthy dogs on it.

We've been feeding our huskies raw chicken wings and carcasses for the past 20 years with no ill-effects. Most of our friends do the same and I've never come across a single problem with it. Having said that, the husky's metabolism and digestive system is extremely tough, as are their jaws - a husky's jaws can exert more pressure than those of a Rottweiler, which isn't surprising when you consider that in their natural habitat, they wouldn't eat anything that wasn't hard-frozen all through the winter. In the summer they would be left in the coastal villages to hunt for themselves and would kill and eat anything they could catch.

Mick. I had forgotten about the white dog muck and it makes perfect sense what you say. Maybe owners should start feeding bones to dogs again, perhaps their general health may improve too.
In the wild, dogs would have eaten bones. And the dry, white dog muck would be easier for owners to pick up

As long as they dont look like 'marbles' gleaming and mesmerising, I'd be sure to pick 'em up

My dog only eats Dog Food, as do we. Leftovers are never a problem.
