Let me rephrase that.........

I bought from a good garden centre in early June a pot of Morning Glory plants (Heavenly Blue; Ipomoea) & they have climbed over 6ft high but have produced no flowers..... where'd I go wrong?

Re: Morning Glory

Hi Robert sorry I don't know much about them but would guess it is down to too much or not enough of one fertiliser or another.

Maybe try a guick acting liquid fertiliser for flowers like Maxicrop which is seaweed based.

Re: Morning Glory

I love morning glory & yes I know sometimes flowering plants will produce more greenery if fertilized too much.

I never knew that song was about a plant "The girl from Ipomoea".

I think there are parallels in life to which this principle may apply

VERY CLEVER

By a process of SERENDIPITY I came across these lyrics.

Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria,
Peoria tonight.
Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria,
Peoria tonight.
Oh, you can pick a morning gloria
Right off the sidewalk in Peoria.
Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria,
Peoria tonight.
Why did I ever go with sailor boys?
I should have stayed back home in Illinoys.
Oh, how I wish I was in Peoria,
Peoria tonight

BTW, this is one of my fav. songs, thank you Stan Getz & Astrud Gilberto

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes - ah

When she walks, she's like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes, each one she passes goes - ooh

Re: Morning Glory

Bossa nova introduced a seductive musical style to me early 70s.
