Eating geraniums

My neighbours bed of geraniums have been eaten away, even the flower buds have been eaten . I have never seen anything like it

We can't discover what is eating them I always understood slugs and snails don't like them because of the strong smell and I can't see any caterpillars.

Does anyone else have a similar problem this year ?

Re: Eating geraniums

I've never had anything attack geraniums and I've grown them for many years.

I have never eaten my geraniums but I can't get enough of my nasturtiums. Why grow lettuce? Yum!

Re: Eating geraniums

How strange, a lady I work with was saying this only this morning about her geraniums - I had no idea what it could be. My geraniums are about the only things not to have been attacked in my garden this year!

It is odd, I have geraniums in tubs only yards away from my neighbours and they are ok

Re: Eating geraniums

If you discover the culprit, you'll have to let us know - it's been a bad year for plants this year I think, too wet early on and too hot and dry to follow.
