Saving

Thinking of saving some of my geraniums this year, any tips

I asked a few weeks ago and didnt get a response ,so i will tell you what i did , Cut them down to half their size and don't water them so much thats if they are in pots ,which mine are. Put them in a frost free place .garage might be a good place , ive put mine in a plastic container cupboard. And open it for a few hours a day . when its frosty i will keep it closed and hope for the best .

I don't save my geraniums , I have no where suitable/no space keep them.

Mrs P stopped overwintering geraniums, preferring to buy new small plug plants in spring and taking cuttings from them then. She finds the plants to be much stronger than from overwintered, and it's hassle free.

I get all my bedding plants from Jersey Plants Direct. I buy the "garden ready" plants which are about £9 for 72 plants. Easier than sowing your own seed and cheaper than heating a greenhouse.
