It looks like a cross between a Lilac tree and a fern, lovely.

Thank you all. The trees seem to come into flower twice a year and stay looking colourful for a few weeks. I don't know if they have any scent, to be honest I've never noticed any and the trees are mostly too tall for me to reach, but I think they are such lovely trees.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Its really nice, I've never seen one before.
