Puncture with Green Flag

I'm with their Rescue Plus. If I find I have a puncture on my drive or near home, will they fix it or just put on the temporary wheel?

Surely replacing a wheel is a DIY job?

Not everyone is fit enough to do that themselves, modern cars do not lend themselves easily to find the jacking points either. Personally after paying the AA subscription every year for the past 50 plus years and having to use them twice I might just call them out too. Nothing worse than having to change a wheel at the roadside or in pouring rain.

Ditto. In fact, my days of doing ANY car maintenance (other than topping up fluids or charging batteries) are over.

Same here and not really by choice as I always used to repair and service previous cars. I bought a new VW Golf six years' ago and on lifting the bonnet I found all the top-up points, then promptly closed the bonnet again as nothing else could be reached!

With all the levels and even tyre pressures monitored it's quite easy to maintain, warnings appear on the dashboard screen. The only level that is not shown when it gets low is the screenwash reservoir, although that's quite obvious when it needs replenishing!

A quick thread hijack if I'm allowed please.

Always make sure your car tyre pressures are as specified by the car manufacturer. This will make sure your fuel economy is at its best for the load you are carrying in the vehicle. If possible, always use the same airline at the same garage because the pressure gauges haven't always been calibrated to give accurate readings.
