Caroline Flack found dead at 40

Former Love Island host, DJ and Strictly contestant Caroline Flack has been found dead at her London flat, just weeks before she was due in court charged with assaulting her boyfriend.

I havn’t followed this story at all but wasn’t she accused of hitting him over the head with a lamp ....tho he said it wasn’t so ?
Very tragic that apparently the media were so unkind to her she felt she had to take her life although of course that might not be the reason at all ?
Did she choose Valentine’s Day purposely ?

Keyboard warriors and the press probably played a bit part in her suicide, she was hounded on social media and by the press.

Her boyfriend didn't want the CPS to prosecute but they went ahead anyway.

So, so sad and such a waste of a young life,

A real tragedy for someone to take their life at the age of 40. It seems that in this case, the stress of the bad publicity was too much to bear.

I've never ever heard of her .... even so, so sad that anyone should feel so miserable, so alone , or so at the end of their tether that death is more attractive than the thought of Life.

Ditto Morti ref hearing of her. But it's clear from reports that she must have ended her own life as the general discussions are about social media pressure.

I guess if you look back at 40 it seems so young but at the time it's a watershed age. Possibly the court case felt too much at the same time as the feeling that the clock cannot be turned back? She was far more sensitive than people realised. Reportedly stated that social media comments were hurtful. We don't realise how difficult it is to be in the spotlight.
