Shirley Bassey

I see Shirley Bassey is on with David Walliams Chirstmas Eve.

She is 80 in January apparently, and still going to sing some of her old well known songs, like Goldfinger, and I Who Have Nothing etc.

We seem to have almost a glut of the oldies coming back this year, don't we.

I won't be watching either. Give it up, woman. You must have made your fortune by now.

Re: Shirley Bassey

Always loved Shirley and heard her last two years ago when I thought she was fabulous, her voice seems as good as ever.

I'm a bit shocked an over 50 forum encouraging an older lady to just give it up, if she can still sing get up there girl and show the youngsters how yo do it properly I say !

Re: Shirley Bassey

What about Cliff Richard dressing in his leathers and dancing about to his ancient rock songs then? He's 75, how do folks feel about him?
Then there's Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Neil Diamond, Elton John . . .

If they still have the voice I love hearing them, Neil is particularly good IMO possibly better as he's aged.
