Re: Do you try new things or do you stick to the same old meals ?

We are about to become more adventurous, we have sold various appliances we no longer need and invested in a nutribullet. So going to try drinking many of our salads and vegetables, it does nuts too so will be drinking almonds and walnuts etc should be very healthy by the end of the week LOL

Time for everyone to try Moroccan food. It's delicious. Going to do pickled Moroccan lemons this week.

This site is fabulous for different countries recipes. They get recipes from the people in each country so they are authentic. So just pick the country you like on the menu
for great recipes.

Only this very morning Sandi darlin' did I buy a leg of Lamb. Will make a marinade of: 1/2 Pt orange juice, 3 Tblsp oy Sauce, 3 Tblsps Worcester sauce, 2 Tblsp Apricot Jam, 5 - 6 cloves of garlic (peeled and crushed) and 2 Tsps dried Rosemary. Left to soak in the marinade for several hours (overnight is better) and then, when ready to cook, remove lamb from marinade and dry roast for 35 - 45 mins. Remove from oven and drain excess fat. Pour Marinade over lamb and return to oven. Baste Lamb at regular intervals until joint is cooked through - Delicious!!!!

Mesco, did you try eating them raw ??

I dislike them intensely raw but Oysters Kilpatrick, bacon pieces on top and with a sauce grilled under the griller, or Oysters Mornay are out of this world.

Moreton Bay bugs come from Moreton Bay in Queensland, funny that hey. They breed around the mangroves and spend the days hiding in the mud, that's why they taste muddy. The fishermen catch them in their nets as a by product from other fishing mainly for prawns and crabs. I don't think they are commercially fished as yet here.

They don't have much meat on them and they look like mini and I mean mini crayfish.

Yabbies are great too if you can get decent sized ones. Heaps found in dams on farms.
