Re: I hate wholemeal bread

Hi everyone, what I would do for a slice of bread be it wholemeal seeded white, unfortunately I am gluten intolerant, anyone tried gluten free bread? trust me the wallpaper paste would be a tastier.

Issi Bfree is really nice gluten free bread. The brown seeded sandwich loaf isn't cheap but it's worth every penny. It's not only very edible but also pretty healthy.

Re: I hate wholemeal bread

I eat wholemeal, I like the taste, in fact I have been eating it for so long that on the rare occasion that do find myself presented with white bread I have the distinct impression that there is something wrong with the anaemic looking stuff.

Actually white rolls just about get away with it and I shall be queueing at the local Vietnamese bakers shop on Christmas morning to buy a couple of dozen fresh long white rolls for Christmas lunch. (They don't do wholemeal long rolls)

I was about to suggest that annie. it's very nice, when my gluten free friend comes round I always have one in the freezer so I can make the sandwiches safely for her.

True. Although I moan (and moan) about sainsdreary's, their rolls are much better than Tesco's.

I am not intolerant but I tried some gluten free bread a few days ago. Toasted was just about acceptable but other than that, it was pure mush.

That's very considerate Julie. It's always so stressful having to eat out at someone's house. I feel so guilty when people have to spend time frowning at labels to check for gluten traces.
