But you know about depth of field.
One can never learn enough ... I used to think it was all about aperture (f. numbers) but focal length pays a huge part ....

Yes.
Have you tried throwing the background out of focus.

You've got the reflection in its entirety, fitting the frame nicely.

Difficult to do - just my quick point and shoot compact. The sky is neutral though. I think I should have cropped the sky down more- about a third down. More focus on the reflection perhaps?

Lines - yes -Modigliani - seemed a Golden Ratio of lines somehow. but the diagonals a counterpoint.
