Foods you used to hate but love now

For me, it was mushrooms.....couldn't stand them.....love them now.

Another is blue cheese (stilton in particular), it used to make me heave.......love it now

Isn't it strange how our tastes change with age?

I was absolutely positive I hated olives until I actually tried one. Love them!

Cauliflower! I thought it was yucky when I was a child, love it now. And also Brussels sprouts.

Carmen darlin' - Stilton works best if served on Carrs Melts (cheese wafer biscuits) and washed down with a couple of glasses of Port!!!

Your post also works in the opposite direction too - as a toddler used to eat tomatoes like apples, but can't stand the acidic taste of them now.

Mushrooms for me too and tomatoes when I was very little.
Olives are a fairly sophisticated taste, aren't they?

Still can't cope with oysters au naturel

I detested meat when I was a kid, but happily eat it now.
Still can't stand green beans or sweetcorn (unless it's with tuna & mayo).
Found cheese a bit boring when I was young. Then my eyes were opened by foreign cheeses.... not literally of course.... as I uncovered a whole world of flavours other than cheddar and stilton.

Re: Foods you used to hate but love now

My taste in food has remained largely the same since adulthood.
I'll still eat almost anything -except beetroot
Cheeses I have never really been a fan of - except in very small portions, on toast or in sauces.
