Re: A new Sausage

I don’t eat sausages very often but sometimes l just crave for one. Must be something in them that my body needs?
I will only buy sausages with a pork content over 92%.
I don’t think, l would like a cheese and marmite one though. I prefer just normal, or with red onion ones.

What make is that please, Art?
I look for meat content too, but I think the most I have seen is 80-something %.

Re: A new Sausage

Mups, we enjoy Sainsbury Taste the Difference pork sausages -

INGREDIENTS: British Pork (97%), Salt, Rice Flour, Gram Flour, Onion Powder, White Pepper, Sage, Nutmeg, Preservative: Sodium Metabisulphite (Sulphites); Coriander, Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid; Maize Starch, Stabiliser: Disodium Diphosphate; Ginger, Chilli Powder, Cloves, Dextrose. Sausages filled into natural pork casing.

£3.00 for a pack of six, but they are tasty.

Re: A new Sausage

I like cheese and marmite and sausages, but the combination of the three isn't something that immediately attracts. Like some of you others, for me sausages have to be meaty and either pork or beef, cheese and marmite make a good toasted sandwich but will never make a good sausage....

Re: A new Sausage

Don't think I'd like them, I like a sausage to taste like a sausage. Although Chilli Wors is nice.
I tried rabbit sausage once, yuk!

Re: A new Sausage

Oh I'd try them, I love Marmite and cheese. I'd have to check the pork percentage and what else was in them before buying though.

Re: A new Sausage

I can eat Marmite but it's not my favourite thing. I suppose with cheese it could be Ok. The only thing is, I don't like sausages with thick skins.
