Yes I guess. But looking at it again I think it sounds a bit like a condition of the upper digestive tract...Or maybe something you take to treat it? …. But didn't Dirty Harry have a quip about opinions?...

I definitely agree with this. SM always puts so eloquently what I want to say, my words just don't come out right. I always love to read some members posts and think, well that's what I think so why couldn't I put it like that lol

Re: Opining an opinion

Do you mind yours being challenged?

Some very strong opinions on here?

Have you ever noticed they go round in circles,😂...I have yet to see an opinion change,🤣..including mine I will not budge.😂

How boring life would be, if we all had the same opinion.

Do you believe in your own opinion....or do you follow others?

Can you think for yourself?

No matter who you upset, will you still voice your very own opinion?

Re: Opining an opinion

If people get upset by my opinion that is their problem, not mine.
If they are rude and make their reply personal, I will ignore it, or may report it if it is very bad!

If every body thought alike and had the same opinion, I feel that the forum would become very boring & I would probably leave.
We need more members who post regularly, because their different ideas & thoughts make it really interesting!

There used to be a lady member, who I often had a different opinion to, but we were still friendly so we exchanged Pms to explain why we felt as we did, and we often found that we had the same opinion but approached the problem from a different angle. I think we ended up respecting each others different opinions in the hope that either would reach the same conclusion>

Re: Opining an opinion

No, I don't mind my opinion being challenged and while I very often do form my own opinion, I can be persuaded to change my mind, if I feel the argument is strong enough to do so.

What really gets my goat is when people attack me for posting my opinion.

Re: Opining an opinion

We had a related thread a while ago.

My op was:

Is it useful or helpful for other posters to remind us that what we know is an opinion is, in fact, an opinion and that they are entitled to hold another opinion?

Or is it, as I believe, not only a waste of time but IMHO an insult to suggest that posters aren't aware of it?

In short, is a post stating eg "that's your opinion and differs from mine, and we're entitled to have different opinions" of any real value?
