A little video made in 2012 - Willie Nelson wrote and sings the song and another country music legend -Merle Haggard - made the video - very poignant. Shows some really old clips of Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, and - of course - Trigger after whom WN named his guitar!12-09-2020, 09:39 AM

Awesome, thanks for reminding me about some of his music.I really loved when he was recording the "Highwayman" with Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.
Some friends of mine were able to see them touring but not me
Here, they are pretty much Icons of America
(the ones who are still alive).
