Can't believe he was 93. I was watching repeats of him just the other day. He was a very versatile actor and was once described as having a 'lived in' face.

That's sad I enjoyed watching him in programmes and Butterflies was one of my favourites.
Gosh I had no idea he was that age

He was a very talented actor who turned up in all sorts of things, from high drama to comedy, and handled them all beautifully. May angels fly him safely home.

I loved his character in "As Time Goes By" playing Judy Dench's character's husband.

I loved watching Gurney Slade, it was way before it's time. I also was a fan of Anthony Newley, but didn't know Geoffrey Palmer had been in it as well.
