Who gives a shit if the new baby's pics appear in US newspapers first? With the constant hounding of Harry's mother by the media and now the disparaging remarks aimed at his new bride who can blame them for not wanting anything to do with the British press?
Well said!
Some of the news articles about this couple’s private life and comments I have seen online about the public having a right to see this new baby make me wonder why these people think they have a right to make these demands.
These are just a few comments I saw regarding the news that the couple plan to have a private christening without press attendance:
“The British Public are quite tolerant but this is just very very thoughtless and rude.”
“Maybe time to move on Harry and leave Royal duties.
“You aren’t actually needed - we have many Royals who are happy to do their duty.”
Well, that doesn’t strike me as very tolerant at all.
Why shouldn’t they raise Archie as a private citizen, away from the glare of publicity if they want to.
Archie doesn’t have a Royal title, so he is a private citizen and we are not entitled to “a piece of him”
As for Harry “doing his duty” - providing he continues to do the Charity work and attend functions to represent the RF, then he is fulfilling his Royal duty as far as I’m concerned.
It’s not the duty of the younger siblings to produce sprogs for the public to coo over - that was William’s duty and he’s done it!
Looking at some of the negative media coverage of them, I’m not surprised Harry is being protective and cautious of the press. Just recently, someone even posted a random baby photo on a fake social media account, set up as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and pretended the photo was of Archie.
No wonder Harry wants more privacy for his son than he and his family had when he was a kid.
