The man holding the confiscated knife was a member of the public trying to help.
But when it looked the 'baddie' might detonate a suicide bomb, and it was obvious the police were about to open fire, the man with the knife quite rightly legged it to a safe distance away.
That is why a man was seen running away with a knife.
I think some might have misinterpreted what they saw.
Not confused Mups but thanks . Here I see the man who is holding said knife but where is the blood if two have been killed with it ? https://postimg.cc/n9qtL1Q6
There are no people around yet one witness estimated there were arond 300 people on the bridge .

I think the man holding the knife was very brave.... and it's lucky he wasn't shot dead in the confusion.

I thought the same, dongle.
It could have looked bad when he ran away waving that knife about.
As you say, lucky he wasn't shot, too.

Re: Breaking news! (London Bridge attack)

He was wearing a suicide vest which turned out to be a hoax, the police would not take any chances, that’s why they told everyone to run, they then shot him twice, ( in the head presumably) they couldn’t possibly know if the bomb was real or not
