That's why I listen to Classical Music provided by Radio Swiss Classic! And I look out of the window as well.

You don't have to look at a wall while exercising at Home,I watch tv or listen to music while on My treadmill.

I'm like that too Tachyon. It's swimming for me.

I think it's all about finding the right exercise for you. I've never yet plucked up the confidence to join a gym

I hired a treadmill before and I watched a dvd whilst I was on it. I enjoyed it. I'd love to be able to afford a treadmill as I think they're great.

It's a Muddy Fox Roadrunner mountain bike that we bought years ago.

I was never proficient at cycling even as a child and there was nowhere sensible for me to practice, as an adult, when we bought it so we used to transport our bikes in the VW camper to no-traffic areas (Windsor Great Park being a favourite).

Yikes I wheeled it down to the lane here and could only just stay upright. It's another thing that has to go as I continue to de-clutter.
The design of this bike is appalling.

Where on earth do adults learn to ride bikes ? No way would I go on the road
These guys seem to manage quite well. Go on be a devil and give it a try.

Re: Hmmmmm fitness ? my bike

The gym I go to is at Age UK, for people aged 50+ which suits me fine. I couldn't be bothered with a gym full of youthful posers.

As for the suggestions about watching TV while using a cross-trainer at home that wouldn't work for me. Apart from TV being stupefyingly boring 95% of the time, I live in an upstairs flat and don't want my training to cause any undue noise for my lovely downstairs neighbour.

I went to work on my bike for 10 years before I retired at 61, never was I so pleased to give it away, so pleased to be off the road.

Tachyon that would suit me fine, but there aren't any of those gyms where I live. Only posery ones

When I had my treadmill it was in the upstairs bedroom. Thank goodness or I'd be done for noise pollution

Aye, Myra, gadgets like that are great when they're on the ground floor, but if they're upstairs they make a hell of a noise for anyone on the floor below. I'd definitely get done for noise pollution.
