Re: Trip of a Lifetime

If I were a younger man I'd love to visit Nepal, it looks such a wild place.

I spent 3 years in Malaysia in my 20's, would love to go back. I know I never shall, but I can dream

Re: Trip of a Lifetime

My first thoughts are to do Route 66 in the US, but I'm afraid that it might be too commercialised. At least you don't need a map - just the song lyrics!

Re: Trip of a Lifetime

I've had many a 'trip of a lifetime' but the all time best was tripping on the belt of me housecoat and down the stairs I went

Wonderful place Alan which I was fortunate to visit before it became tourist driven

I also spent some years living in Singapore and Malaya and I probably had the happiest years of my life in KL and Penang. Had my kampong there.

I did go back and regretted it. The beautiful beaches on Penang all turned into hotel infinity pools

A bit of space tourism for me with a few days on the International Space Station.

Yes, The Silk Route and Route 66, or a tour of the USA, though I don't suppose I ever will

More attainable, a few years ago I backpacked to Cape Wrath, the furthest north west point of the British mainland, and mean to go there again.
There is public transport all the way if you want; search Google.

Re: Trip of a Lifetime

We've travelled a lot but I'd like to have the money to do the complete Orient Express trip through Venice, Vienna to Istanbul. Only £9,000 each.
