Are you a Hugger?

Do you hug your family and friends?

Re: Are you a Hugger?

This to me is an offshoot of all them cheesy american situation comedies, when everyone, and anybody, was in need of a hug. I myself, feel slightly uncomfortable hugging each and every relative. The same applies to holding hands with your partner, can't be bothered with that either.

No, I'm not at all comfortable with that. I wasn't brought up to be that way, guess it stuck.

No, definitely. We were not a touchy/feeley family; I am not a hugger.

Re: Are you a Hugger?

Some of my family are huge hug givers/receivers. Along with some of my close friends. Lovely!

However, some folk prefer a more simpler warm action. I think it is important to be sensitive and respectively aware of their comfort zone.

Some people (thankfully not my family or circle of friends) even hug, in the same way as the continental cheek (blow in the wind) kiss - looks good for appearances sake, but could lack true sincere feeling.
This type of 'hug' is more like a wet lettuce hand-shake!

Re: Are you a Hugger?

I was never a hugger, must have been the way I was brought up. When relatives came around to our house they would get a hand shake and that was that, after the formality us kids were told not to interrupt when adults were talking and generally keep quiet. I see a lot of it goes on now and I think it's a good thing, hug away you lucky huggers.
