William & Katherine visit to Canada

The news is all a buzz here in Canada about the up coming visit of William & Katherine around July 1st (Canada Day here). For the 'Royal Watchers' its exciting and for others, they don't know (or care) what the fuss is about. I for one will watch the coverage of the wedding (won't be getting up in the middle of the night to see it first hand, but they are advertising a 'high lights' version later on. With their visit, the closest they come to me is Ottawa on Canada, which for me would be a 8+ hour drive, then the I doubt if there is a hotel room available with in walkiing distance, and for sure no parking! Would be something to experience for those who do attend.

What is it like for those of you 'over there'? Do you ever purposely make your way to 'see' the Royals?

We get a little blase over here in England, there are so many royals that always seem to be passing by, and we just get tired of waving I guess.

I'm far from the Royals where I live Clairemarie, but I believe the Queen is coming to Dublin in May and that will be a big occasion for us, it's the first Royal visit by a reigning British Monarch in over 100 years, so I'm told.
