Yes Twink, I still feel like a youngster and act like one to, but not my body.

I was much the same as you Twink.

I think I was early 50's, and it all just gradually faded away.
No problems, no hot flushes, no HRT, nothing.

Re: One for the ladies

Mid forties I was much moodier and the closer I got to 50 the crazier I felt.
When I finally lost my monthly cycle at 50, I was beyond thrilled.🥳
The bad thing was that I almost left my husband. Those raging hormones are wicked things but I eventually calmed down.

Mine started at 50.
I sailed through it without much bother except night-time sweats.

LQ....if you have any probs ask your doc for Tibolone 2.5mg honest they really work. It's great for those who sail through the change but for those who don't speaking from experience....it's the pits.

Re: One for the ladies

I used evening primrose and black Cohash for night sweats which worked but red raspberry apparently works just as well.

Re: One for the ladies

I started getting irregular periods and severe mood swings in my late 40's.

Still getting them (now early 50's) periods can skip completely or start ..only last a day... go... then come back. They used to be as regular as clockwork.

Not had hot flushes so much but seem to have got much more sensitive to sounds, not sure if its cos the tinnitus is worse and I think I'm hearing noises that aren't actually in the environment at all!

and my memory is getting really bad!

Re: One for the ladies

How long does it last for anyway once it's started? ... assuming I'm in the peri-menopause stage now (as periods haven't stopped completely yet) how much longer (roughly) will I be going through this 'stage' before I've finished the menopause?

Re: One for the ladies

i always thought that when women mentioned the "change" it was when they got rid of tight knickers and G strings, and went into big bloomers like grandmother used to wear.
