Mine is an iPhone so I know nothing about Samsung mobiles but the 'rebooting' as described has sorted out the few problems I've had in the past. Good luck!

I guess that at least, if nothing else, you can get your Contacts from that phone, many of us don't keep backups of our's and would be lost without them. That reminds me, must check to see if my Contacts are backed-up on iCloud, perhaps they are? Maybe you could sell that phone on as it's now working?

Sorry to hear about your issues, Bruce.I now think that most of this problem could have been caused by all the extra downloads and 'add to home screen' icons which I've been keeping as info relating to my job searches last week. My phone was operating slower and more slowly still until it stopped altogether.
I've transferred most of these onto my PC now and my phone is much quicker.
It's similar to checking and clearing the Google Cache each week. It speeds things up.
