Loved school dinner puddings Azz- my faves were rice pudding with thick skin on and raisins in-semolina and tapioca pudding along with apple crumble and custard. Can't remember what the main courses were-obviously didn't make an impression on me.
I loved everything served to me, . . especially on cold days, . ah, tapioca pudding, . . semolina pudding, . . prunes in rice, . . you can tell I had a sweet tooth eh.
I used to hate all milk puddings due to the fact that I have never liked milk. I remember having some sort of sponge pudding that tasted very dry, with a custard that tasted nothing like what my Mum used to make.
The only dinner I liked was the roast.....and they were few and far between.
I'm not at all fussy about food but there was something about the smell and taste of school dinners that was so different to what I was used to and it put me off.
