I know my dog and I see the same spirit at the top of the stairs, I have tried to engage the person who I believe to be a former owner of this house, which dates back to 1865.
I know I believe and I am not afraid to tell folks I do.
I have psychic powers and have used them, years ago, but now I am old I don't have the energy.
I do know the FBI and the military, both sides of the Atlantic have used mediums too.

Just read your link Arfa - Always believed the Poltergeist activity was linked to a person present, who has a strong influence mentally and strong energy .... Have witnessed this, the woman present was a bundle of nervous energy, which proved my point ....

In the bible which I believe was the stories of the times, a bit like an history book, and if you look at Corinthians with the thought that Spiritulism existed then.
It makes more sense, for instance the laying of the hands to heal, the walking on the water, astral travel it to me is the best chapter of the bible.

Pats, your correct, it's a residue let over from previous events that's all in time and that can be a very long time, centuries even, it will wear itself out.

Wrinkly, My to cats can see them, the youngest one more than the older, i can't see them yet but i can feel them, and they have communicated via the electrics. whenever i know there there i do speak to them and tell them they are welcome.

I've shared my life with cats since I was about 5 years of age. Usually at least 2 cats at a time and not one of them has behaved strangely, looking as if they can 'see' things.

I always hoped it would happen, but no. Nothing.
