Environmental Health Issue

I am not normally given to firing off letters but I felt very strongly about this. Have sent the following email to the EH people. Am I over reacting? What do you think?

Sirs,
I would like to draw your attention to a potential health risk.
( name of shop)

Have just made my first visit to this mini supermarket and was appalled to see it has a Dog Waste Box right against the entrance door. Not only that but, during the current shopping restrictions, we are expected to queue beside it!

In my opinion it is totally irresponsible to site such a bin right against one food shop (Spar) and only feet away from another (a Butchers) and I strongly object to having to queue next to the stinking thing.

Spar have just lost my custom as I will not risk shopping there again.

Yours sincerely etc.,

Not very nice at all Tabby.
Stupid people siting it there, as you say.

What I can't make out is, why on earth the shop allowed it in the first place? Surely they must have complained?

Re: Environmental Health Issue

Is this an official dog waste bin, Tabby? If it is, some idiot ought to be hauled over the coals for siting it there.

Yes - it is clearly labelled as such. Can't wait to see what EH have to say about it!

Good for you Tabby! That's really gross.

Re: Environmental Health Issue

Hi

Well down the list at the moment.

EHOs are not consulted on the siting of Dog Waste Bins.

If dog owners were responsible they would take it home.

EHOs are flat out at the moment with Corona Virus and the Pollution People are dealing with vast amounts of illegal tipping.

Perhaps you should contact the PUBLIC HEALTH dept of
your local or county council Tabby?
I think that would be more appropriate?

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔
