We're with insureandgo, who appear pretty good value - but of course we;ve not needed to claim; that's the acid test
Several of the banks are offering an account where you get many services, including a car breakdown service and travel insurance, for a monthly fee
I think there comes a point where saga is quite good

Re: Over 50s Travel Insurance

Went away on holiday 2 years ago for 2 weeks-rang round many Ins. Companies for quotes declaring a medical condition (Cancerous Ovarian Tumour removed)-I was shocked at the quotes I was given ranging from £200-£300 pounds. Then I went and enquired at my local Post Office. Declared all the same information and their quote was £33 - couldn't believe it Told my sister and hubby who I was going away with and they also took out their Insurance with them. They quite often fly over to Germany to see their daughter and family and they always now have Insurance with the Post Office. Worth checking them out.

Re: Over 50s Travel Insurance

Well, we finally decided to go with Staysure who gave us a very good quote.

I was amazed at the huge difference in quotes from different companies!

We managed to get Gold cover for £109.74 ...... there was one a few pounds cheaper but the cover wasn't so good. The others we checked out were £200 - £300!
