We didn't bother with cards today, but had a nice lunch instead and then watched a couple of romantic flims.

I used to send valentine's cards to my two cousins when they were in their early teens in case nobody else sent them any.

The older girl told me off for writing this in hers,

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Orchids are expensive,
Will dandelions do?

She said, no, they definitely wouldn't do.
