You have to ask yourself the question of what quality of life would the patient have if they were resuscitated. Take Derek Garraway, for instance - would the man be better off had they let him die or living as he is now as a virtual cabbage.

When my wife died, there was a DNR in place as her quality of life was zero and I had to accept she had reached the end of her life, and it's much the same with Covid deaths, irrespective of the age of the patient.
It's blunt; it's tragic; it's devastating, but the NHS can only do so much in the face of this tragedy.
