All we can do with our young people is treat them how we want to be treated. With respect and understanding. They are not the enemy. They are the future. We should treasure them and support them. They are not "snowflakes" (Christ that ignorant and stupid term infuriates me. When I see somebody use it I feel like slapping them) They are people. And they are going to have to negotiate a much more hostile and difficult world than we did. Remember Dylan's words. They live now just like they did then..Re: how times have changed
I feel the same . I blame the media and television , even in soaps like coronation st or Eastenders shown at 7.30pm and 8pm men kissing men , lying in bed together , women with women, they have made it normal to be bi sexual , asexual , whatever sexual and I dont know the rest of names depicting whether they want to be a girlboy or boygirl or both at the same time . But to these young ones it is now the norm and they dont understand why we dont understand .Re: how times have changed
That's a sad and approrpriate song, Spitty. (I do like Al Stewart).Re: how times have changed
Recently there was a drama on TV called it's a sin . It was on at 9pm . The first episode was in my opinion pornographic all about homosexuality . 9pm is far too early for this type of drama, I was hoping my 15 year old granddaughter wasnt watching it in her bedroom .Re: how times have changed
