Rivers don't bother me too much but I hate industrial canals. I remember taking a wrong turn in the car once, at night. Drove down this steep hill and found my headlights were pointing straight into a canal.

I know that Besoeker but a spark due to static can cause a fire and/or explosion if anything flammable is lying about. That's why I asked about earthing straps - to get rid of the static and prevent sparks jumping around.
