Are there any words you dither on? Or, are you just perfection when it comes to the use of the English language?
Art, your brother in law needs a good slap. Has he been watching too much 'Morse'?

Re: I Must Admit, l Do Have Trouble With My ‘Who’ And ‘Whom’.

The thing is, most of us learnt, (or is it learned?) English, in class, 40-60 years ago but a lot has changed since then. There are some things that wind me up such as the incorrect use of there, their and they're but 'who' v 'whom' doesn't bother me.

I would only use 'Whom' if I was on the phone to the Queen. If I had used that word back in the East End of London, I would have got a smack over the head. 'Whom' is for posh people and Morse

I have trouble spelling certain worms. so routinely have to check that I got it write.

Whilst I have two O - Levels in English, I could not tell you the difference between a preposition and a past participle, and in certain circumferences, I cannot work out whether to put a full stop or question mark before or after speech marks.

I like commas, especially the Oxford comma, as well as trail dots ... and semi-colons; but I have trouble working out when a colon would be more appropriate: "do you?"
I only use colons when digesting food!
