Making a poster

How can I make a poster using a few photos .
Ie to advertise something ?

You can do it in a program like Word or LibreOffice, just google for suitable templates for the appropriate program.
If you want to pay there is always MS Publisher

Even better there are some free open source Desktop publishing programs like Scribus that do the job very well and can produce leaflets as well as posters etc

Inkscape is an excellent free vector graphics program for making scalable graphics. It all depends what you want to do.
