3yr fishing deal???

Accrding to George Eustace MP, UK is open to agreeing a 3 year
fishing deal to solve the present impasse ??
That would be ok with me as long as UK calls the shots right from
January the first next year ?
We cant allow another 3yrs of eu oppression unless we make the
rules and controll the timing and amounts etc during what is really
just another extension by another name !!!
I dont know what side Eustace is on,( remain or leave) but this
utterance does does not inspire confidence imo ??

Re: 3yr fishing deal???

I suspect that it's only opinion again, besides which there's more to agree than fishing.
What was actually said you see is that "the Government was open to a “sensible approach” over fishing, such as an agreement that might span a couple of years. He said the UK’s chief negotiator Lord David Frost and his team were working “very hard” to try to get an agreement."

Ah.
Nothing new then because we know this.
It's page-filling, nothing more & nothing less.

Hi

Amazing how some can distort the facts for their own views.

The EU have run riot across us, especially since Boris came to Power.

He is now wanting to change an International Treaty he signed which was significantly worse than that of May.

He is now backing down on Fisheries.

Our Politicians have been beaten on every twist and turn by the EU.

Boris is worse than May. he has backed down on every single Deadline.

He is a Disaster, led by Cummings who all and sundry are out to get.

I think that is where we differ Zaphod?
He says we are working very hard to get an agreement !!
I believe the time for agreement is over? I is apparent that the EU
is acting with bad faith, if not malice in these so called negotiations?
And the only way now for uk is to walk away and test the reactions
of the opposition?
As some people keep telling us we are allready out, why this
obsession with negotiations ?? Lets prove it!!
The test for this imo, is whether we control our borders, which
include large portions of the north sea by the way !
If we cant control who and how much, fishes in these waters, then
we are still under control of eu ??
If we walk away now my belief is the eu attitude will change berween
now and december and to our benefit ? Whereas if we wait till
next year we give the remainer eastablishment more time to mount
the the project fear campaign again, as is allready taking place as we
can allready see in the MSM and the HOL !!!

What a surprise - another emotional and opinionated anti-Brexit post full of hatred yet containing the leading line "Amazing how some can distort the facts for their own views." which is exactly what the post goes on to do.

And again (because you keep ignoring it in favour of your own bias) I will show you this:
"Plus I hate to tell you this but - as the EU is well aware because it is a part of their guidelines - "In accordance with the principle that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed, individual items cannot be settled separately."
Section 1 Para 2
https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/p...it-guidelines/

Do you see what that very clearly says?
Unless a deal is agreed, nothing has been agreed.
You can't deal with individual things seperately.
It is in black & white from the EU themselves.
So, since there is no deal currently on the table, the bit you are wittering on about ceases to be of any relevance whatsoever and no laws have been broken.
None
."

Nothing has been agreed yet, Swimfeeders.
Not fishing.
Not your treaty (unless there is a deal, see above).
Nothing.
When it eventually is you can have your tantrum if you want, but throwing a paddy now just makes you look silly.
Again.

I've told you before that I understand your frustrations, also that they could be well-founded.
But personally I think there's far too much at stake for Boris not to ensure that there's no EU jurisdiction over the UK post-Brexit for him to take that path.

We're in the end game now.
No matter which way things end up going we should see before too much longer - and if we don't Boris & the Tory party will suffer too for dodging the promise made at the last GE which got them into power.

Don't fall for the last throws of the pro-remain pro-EU biased media propaganda convince you at this stage of proceedings.

Oh & no prob's re earlier.
Great minds & all that.

Re: 3yr fishing deal???

The 3 year fishing deal was already rejected by Macron about a month or so ago. He wants permanent access or he will veto any deal, which means either he is being hobbled by Merkel or it's just another DE wind-up

In the meantime, we just signed up to a mutual understanding on fisheries with Greenland.... note the lack of involvement by the EU.

Coming as it does after Norway & the Faroe Islands they are a bit of a two-fingered salute to the EU's demands.
