This scumbag 'nasty party' government are now planning to attack very vunerable claimants at Xmas time and force them to rely on food banks because of their arrogance and incompetence!!!

They've been asked by many people to wait until after the holiday season, I don't know why they are sticking their heals in over it. Any change in benefits always goes haywire at first so it's not like they know it will go well !

The government just dont seem to believe what they are being told.The NHS is in a mess but all they keep saying is 'Well weve given ex amount of pounds ' and cant seem to see why there are problems, they refuse to accept a shortage of Drs/Nurses/Midwives, due to low pay ' Were recruiting more ' they sayTheir answer to poor and sick/disabled people is to insist they look for work,refusing to believe that there are many circumstances why a person is unable to find.keep a job.They are consatantly sticking their heads in the sand,refusing to heed reports

If you keep reducing the income of folks at the bottom of the wealth pile, the folks in the middle (and at the top) get richer, without an income increase, but by default.

Exactly but we aren't allowed to say that wait for various members to accuse you of being envious of wealth and how the trickle down capitalist ideal works perfectly because they are ok.

That is true Spitty, but it is not what is happening.

Since 2010 the tax take from the higher earners has increased significantly.

At the bottom end, the NMW has increased and loads more have been taken out of Income Tax.

We still have a long way to go, but we are heading in the right direction.

Our Benefits System is deeply flawed, we give far too much to those who are capable of work but who choose not to, yet we pay those who genuinely cannot work too little.

I would agree that Universal Credit is a disaster when it comes to payments, but this is an administrative problem.

It needs sorting.

Heading in the right direction ? Yes when low pay is a thing of the past and we all work for nothing, and benefits are gone I guess that might seem like utopia to many.
