Lindsay Hoyle

He dare not do as Bercow did. Lindsay Hoyle has to protect PM.

Labour and the Liberal Democrats are set to back the amendment, saying it is wrong that new laws are being brought in under emergency powers passed at the start of the pandemic.

That would potentially be enough to overturn the government's 80-strong majority - with signs that DUP MPs are also set to endorse the change.

A final decision on whether to call the amendment will not be made before Wednesday.
Can you believe this.

Yes I can believe it. The self-serving back stabbers are starting up again.

The speaker is the only one who can stop the nonsensical madness. Ex-PM because of her failings.

She's back! Theresa May leads rebellion to derail Boris's Brexit masterplan.

Political correspondent Tom Newton Dunn said on Twitter: "Theresa May still intends to vote against the Internal Market Bill when it returns to the Commons tonight, I'm told - the first ex-Prime Minister in living memory to break a three line Government whip."
She has got some nerve.

Our options are limited, we have another unworkable parliament going around in circles, confused and disoriented.

Could this be a wind up?

Former Education Under-Secretary George Walden warned the Brexit trade deal could mark the end of Mr Johnson's tenure.

"My hope is that he will perhaps fade away himself quite soon and we get a proper leader and a proper Cabinet."

What do you suppose he means, another selected by a few Conservative Party members, a yes-man.

May no show. Pathetic.

Former Prime Minister Theresa May is understood to have abstained on the third reading of Boris Johnson's Brexit Internal Market Bill. The UK Internal Market Bill, which ministers acknowledged risks breaking international law, was approved by 340 votes to 256 on Tuesday evening and now passes to the House of Lords for debate. The Government has insisted the bill will protect the integrity of the UK if a future trade agreement cannot be reached with the EU.

Speaking on Sky News following the vote, chief political correspondent Jon Craig said: “We are pretty sure she has abstained. She did in the earlier vote.

“The rebels really have caved in. No sign of Theresa May, she has obviously abstained. Wasn’t in the Chamber.”

After all the bluster and blow hard talking she was spouting in the House the other day (as shown on BBC News), she actually bottled it! What a waste of space that woman is - just like her predecessors. Let's hope that the good people of Maidenhead come to their senses and vote her out next time around.
