My late OH was forever putting the 'power freeze' on so it was probably all his fault that the bottom drawer got iced in

Just curious... why is it "American style"?? Isn't your fridge a Samsung? That would be Japanese..

I don't know all that many people with the freezer on the bottom...It's not that popular here. Although it makes sense.. cold air sinks, warm air rises. Not sure why a frost free gets iced up.. I've never had that happen.

It's a 'side by side' and I think they used to call them American style

Can't find a pic of it but it doesn't have that water cooler thing

I HATE those side by sides.. I had one and got rid of it because there is absolutely no room in either side. Can't fit a turkey, or a frozen pizza. I went for the old traditional freezer on top.

For sure, we can packs tons of stuff in our fridge (freezer on top) & it was cheaper than those huge side by sides.

Hmmmm ... guess it depends what size turkey. If you take the drawers or shelves out you can pile up a load of stuff.

Or if, one Xmas, your OH has got LBS confused with Kilos and bought a gigantic frozen turkey , all you do is get the rip saw and workmate out and saw it in half

When out previous one kicked the bucket, we found this one on special offer.

I always found the fridge sections too small in the other type but this one's OK for me now.

It's not a huge one but it does take up a bit more width than I'd like.
