Britains Export Boom by Britains SME's

I read this excellent article on Reaction Life (one of my many non-MSM sites that I use to get news and interesting articles about what is going on in the world) yesterday.

Its written by Marcus Gibson (of the Gibson Index) and describes how after the 2016 referendum result, the boom that our SMEs have seen, especially in areas outside London such as Liverpool and Scotland. He also makes a very good point about UK exports, in particular regarding our place in the world and our successes outside the EU.

I hope you enjoy it, I certainly did

Happy Friday

Remember the previous civitas 'finding'?
Other EU countries need post-Brexit trade deal more than UK, according to Civitas

Another organisation having offices in the same addres (Vote Leave) turned that into the slogan: they need us more than we need them.

Well, by now civitas has found out the truth of THAT study. This one will prove to be of the same quality.

Read and enjoy it for what it is, science fiction.

That report by Marcus Gibson goes a long way to show how we will continue to prosper in future but he didn't say anything about how these companies will fly to the stars once they are free of all the stupid EU rules and regs that don't apply to them but they have to comply with at the moment.

And continue to comply with, on a level playing field. That's what it is all about!

The European Union's*Brexit*trade demands will not change under UK pressure, Michel Barnier's senior advisor has said. Stefaan de Rynck told an online conference that member states had again backed the "maximalist" negotiating mandate this week in discussions with Brussels' chief negotiator.
The EU is insisting the UK sign up to a slate of safeguards on product standards and human rights in exchange for access to its market - that Brussels calls the "level playing-field".

Exactly, Percy

The single market rules are there to make us less competitive, slow down research and development and tie our exports to the EU.

No more of that soon.

That can hardly be the case, seeing your oxford needs EU grants. Your government doesn't see the need to sustain science.

Just look at the first 3 research projects:

1. Faculty of Music, for a project looking at the sound of cities and how to harness the creative potential of sound to build healthier, more inclusive and more sustainable cities.

2. Oxford Internet Institute, for a project on online labour and measuring digital work.

3. Department of Anthropology, studying the concept of ‘emptiness’ in relation to post-socialism villages and towns in the Latvian-Russian borderlands.

Of these, there is only 1 in my opinion that has merit and might have future applications in actually doing something for humankind, and that's no.2. Who actually cares about the sound of cities and the emptiness of the Latvian/Russian borders?

I read an interesting article by John Humphrys in today's DM. It seems today's Oxbridge is all about money grabbing and not teaching.
