I hadn't been out for 6 days, but yesterday afternoon I set off to drive to a supermarket, Sainsbury's, only to discover that the battery was flat
This also happened a few weeks ago, before the lockdown, as I hadn't driven anywhere for a while, thanks to flu and bad weather
So it looks like I need a new battery, I've posted about that on the Car Section

Instead I went to a supermarket in walking distance, LIDL
There was a queue, but it was civilised enough, about 15 mins wait

I hadn't been there for a while, and I was reminded of the different stuff they sell, plus the lower prices of course
I think that even when I get a new battery I'll go there more frequently

All the staff were wearing substantial face mask, plus there was a screen round the person operating the checkout

One good point is that they have closed the self - checkouts, which I detest, and have all the usual checkouts fully staffed
