The EU budget and subsidies are set for 7 years. As a farmer you can base investments on such certainty. Now they have to rely on yearly awarding by the HoC. Hardly a basis for business operation.
For your farmers it is a bloody difference, not for the EU. Less coming in, less going out.

France, Europe’s greatest agricultural powerhouse, is suffering more than most. Other countries, especially Germany, have responded by encouraging consumer-led specialisation.

You confirm what I said. On the continent farmers are an economic factor to be reckoned with. In the UK you hardly know of their existence. How many farmers are there in the HoC?
France an agricultural powerhouse. And what kind of powerhouse would you presently call the UK ?

French farming in crisis because they cannot adapt, need to modernise. They are very militant.

How if you are so efficient and viable, can you require large subsidies
to keep afloat? Which BTW the eu tells us is illegal in the single
market!! The whole set up is smoke and mirrors!!
And you are almost correct about me not trusting british politicians,

French farmer's are so heavily subsidised because without them, they would be millions of French farmers travelling to Paris for jobs that don't exist. It would be an economic disaster if it happened, that's why the CAP exists in the first place.

The good news is that 2020 1st quarter EU sales to the UK are already down 15% and that's before lock down.
